Front Porch Watch List: The Baxters

Hey, porch friends!

I just finished watching all three seasons of The Baxters, and I wanted to share a little about it here on the porch.

This 2024 series is available on Prime Video and is based on books by Karen Kingsbury. It follows John and Elizabeth Baxter and their five adult children as they navigate love, loss, relationships, and the challenges of everyday life.

Faith is woven throughout their story. Some family members lean on God through difficult times, while others struggle with questions and uncertainty. Although they are a close family, they still face painful choices and complicated situations.

Without giving away any spoilers, the series touches on forgiveness, marriage, family, and finding hope when life doesn’t go the way we planned. Those themes can certainly give us something to think about—and something to talk about over a cup of coffee or your choice of beverage.

If you enjoy family dramas with Christian themes, The Baxters might be one to add to your watch list.
